When someone asks about baby milestones the things that pop in your mind are first word, first teeth, first walk, first time eating solid food, etc. Rauf is almost one, so he’s got quite a number of milestones in his pocket but I would never think modelling would be one of them.

A few months ago Joe toyed around with the idea of having him registered in an agency, I laughed about it because most parents think they’re children are the cutest and as much as I am crazy in love with my son, telling people your kid is cute enough to model sounds super self absorbed. So, we ditched the idea.

Recently I saw Patricia K’s ad for a casting call for babies for a baby product, I was intrigued. Firstly, Patricia K is major #girlcrush and secondly, I’ve been following her since she was pregnant and I find her motherhood journey so relatable (also the reason why I am huge fan of OffspringNatural diapers). Then, my sister texted me and said ‘Have you seen her ad for a baby casting call, TRY FOR RAUF NOW’. So I did, and before I knew it Rauf got the callback and I started hyperventilating because I was going to meet Patricia Knudsen! (holy shit I am such a loser).

We turned up on set, everyone was super friendly, the handling team was perfect and I have never seen so many babies in my life at one place. My biggest fear was Rauf throwing any sort of tantrum but luckily he was too distracted with Little Sophia’s toys. I learned more about the baby food line that they’re planning to launch soon and fell even more in love with it. Cant wait for it to be launched!

The team did advise us not to feed our babies too much before the shoot, so I didn’t give Rauf much to eat for lunch. Despite being hungry, he was so cheerful and cheeky around the ladies so that set him up for a good mood during the shoot. He was smiling, clapping his hands, so curious about everything and seeing him so happy made me feel extremely happy.

Don’t think Rauf will be doing any photo shoots for Men’s Health or FHM anytime soon, but you made us proud today baby boy.
