Joe’s been really busy at work and we’re always rushing in the morning because he always has early meetings (seriously who has meetings at 8.30am?!)
But today we had to wake up super early and coincidentally it was the day my team wanted to take pictures togther in our traditional clothes in conjunction of Eid. So even though we rushed, I packed my stuff, got dressed, kissed rauf and dashed out of the house.
On the way to work, I decided not to wear my headscarf/tudung just yet because I needed to pump. Then, one of tyres punctured. Despite this, I still drove to my office after dropping Joe off. Since it was still early I decided to chill in the car, scroll through Facebook, read the news, watch sad raya ads till it was time to wear my headscarf and go to the office.
That was when I realise my headscarf was NO WHERE to be seen. I thought I packed it, but I didn’t.
Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeat. I laughed and started having fits in the car, thinking how I could resolved this. Would it be okay if I just wore the anak tudung and buy tudung later on? I couldn’t drive back home because the tyre was punctured (what were the odds huh).
So I called a friend, who is a guy that used to run a headscarf business, trying my luck to see if he had any spares lying around – and he DID! Alhamdulillah!
So my friend passed me the headscarf and when it was time, I headed to the shop nearby to get a scarf that matched my outfit. Oh well, at least I got to o a bit of shopping
Lessons learnt: Always keep a spare headscarf in the car….and learn how to fix a punctured tyre.
oh well, at least it worked out in the end!
