Joe and I were in Mothercare, abusing our monthly salary for new baby things when Joe came across a swimming float for babies. Perfect thing to find when you’re trying to think of an activity that very evening. Before we knew it we check out from the shop with the float, swimming trunks, and a whole lot of nonsense even I can’t remember what we got.

So as the day progressed, we brought Rauf to the club where we got married and said a little prayer before bringing him into the water.

And in he went…

guess what, he didn’t scream!

In fact he loved it (ignore his frown he got that from me) so much he cried when we took him out of the water because it started to drizzle. Spent around 20 minutes in the water and I felt like such a proud mom watching my baby waddling his legs and splashing his hands in the water.

3 months today, Rauf. And today we discovered you’re a water baby. To many more discoveries and adventures together.
