Anyone that has ever met my dad is probably in love with him. He’s sweet, he’s hilarious and besides my mom he’s the most generous person I know.
And if there’s one thing that my dad really loves, is surprises. Ever since my college days in Perth, him and my mom are known to just appear at my doorstop and spend whatever time they have with me. Once, my dad surprised me in London and it was the best dad and daughter bonding moment we’ve ever had. Too bad he came at a time when my studio floor was covered with laundry (had assignments due that time so don’t judge me)
So when it was time for my sister and my mom to leave for London, I knew something was cooking in his head. I was torn though, because Kat warned me that she absolutely hates surprises and that I need to give her a heads up when one of our parents is planning a trip to London. But this time, I couldn’t. When I saw the look on my dad’s face planning for this trip, listening to his voice, expressing his excitement, I knew I couldn’t spoil it for him.

So, I got her like a mountain of presents to make up for my ‘dishonesty’ but I knew she was going to be fine with them.

The mission went well and my dad succeeded again, if there’s one thing about my dad, he’ll never stop surprising us with his heart.
